Medical CNC Machining
Medical device machining for housings, instrument components, and implant-adjacent hardware in 316L, Ti-6Al-4V ELI, and PEEK — to your specification, with the paperwork to match.
Precision Parts for Medical Devices and Instruments
Medical CNC machining lives at the intersection of tight geometry and heavy documentation. A surgical instrument component might hold ±0.001 in on a mating bore and also require a material certificate, a passivation record, and a dimensional report that your regulatory file can reference. IsoCNC machines device housings, instrument components, and implant-adjacent hardware for medical OEMs — to your specification, with the paperwork to match.
Two things decide whether a medical part passes receiving inspection, and neither is usually the headline tolerance. The first is burrs: a cross-drilled manifold or an instrument jaw that measures perfectly still fails if a burr breaks loose in service. The second is revision discipline: the report has to reference the same drawing revision you released, not the one that was current when we quoted. We control both explicitly — deburr operations are called out on the router, and the drawing revision is confirmed in writing before material is cut.
Typical Medical Parts We Machine
- Surgical instrument components — handles, jaws, ratchets, and linkage parts in stainless and titanium, often with fine surface finish requirements
- Device housings and enclosures — diagnostic and monitoring equipment housings in aluminum and stainless, with cosmetic-grade finishes
- Implant-adjacent and trial components — Ti-6Al-4V ELI and PEEK parts for orthopedic and dental programs (non-sterile supply, machined to your print)
- Fluidic and pneumatic manifolds — cross-drilled blocks in 316L and PEEK with burr-free port requirements
- Fixture and tooling for medical assembly — nests, gauges, and assembly aids that keep your line repeatable
Medical-Grade Materials
- 316L stainless steel — the workhorse for instruments and fluid contact; corrosion-resistant, passivated per ASTM A967 or your spec
- Ti-6Al-4V ELI (Grade 23) — the standard titanium for implant-adjacent hardware; extra-low interstitials for fracture toughness. More on our titanium machining
- PEEK — biocompatible, sterilizable, radiolucent; machined dry or with medical-grade coolant discipline to avoid contamination. Grade selection and machining notes are on our PEEK page
- Aluminum 6061/5052 — device enclosures and brackets, hard-anodized where wear or cleanability matters
- Delrin (POM) and UHMW — wear surfaces, guides, and insulators; see our plastics machining
Material certificates with full chemistry accompany every lot. For PEEK and other polymers, we can supply resin lot documentation on request — say so on the RFQ. PEEK gets extra process discipline here: it moves with heat and holds stress, so feeds, tool sharpness, and annealing state all show up in the final dimension. We treat it as an engineering material, not a plastic afterthought.
What Medical Buyers Actually Require
Documentation discipline. Material certs, dimensional reports, and process records that survive an audit. We deliver first article inspection on new part numbers, in-process checks on production, and final CMM reports tied to your drawing revision.
Traceability. Lot numbers follow the parts from raw material to the shipping box. If your QMS requires serialized traceability, we serialize.
Burr-free and clean. Medical parts fail inspection on burrs and contamination more often than on dimensions. Cross-holes get deburred and verified; parts are cleaned, dried, and packed to stay clean — double-bagged where the print requires it.
Tolerances and GD&T. General features hold ±0.005 in (±0.13 mm); critical bores, threads, and true-position callouts to ±0.001 in (±0.025 mm), verified on CMM. Surface finishes to Ra 0.8 µm (32 µin) where specified, with electropolish or passivation as required.
We do not hold ISO 13485 registration, and we will not claim otherwise. If your regulatory pathway requires a registered supplier, we will say so at RFQ. What we do is work to your specification and inspection requirements — your drawings, your AQL, your documentation format — and prove conformance in the reports that ship with the parts. See our quality inspection process.

Quote Your Medical Parts
Upload STEP files and drawings, and note your documentation and cleanliness requirements in the RFQ — they are quoted into the job, not added as an afterthought. Tell us the AQL, the inspection level, and whether parts ship sterile-ready or non-sterile, and the quote will reflect the actual scope. Response within 1–2 business days.
