Contract Manufacturing in China: CNC Machining for OEMs

Factory-direct contract machining for overseas OEMs — NDA-first process, named project engineer, documented QC gates, and export logistics handled.

A Contract Machining Partner, Not a Marketplace

Contract manufacturing in China works when you know exactly who owns the machines, who answers your emails, and who signs the inspection report. We run OEM contract manufacturing programs across industrial, automotive, and medical device contract manufacturing work — same gates, same paperwork, same engineer. IsoCNC is a factory-direct contract machining partner for overseas OEMs: your drawings come to our floor, our engineers run your project, and the parts ship with documentation your quality team can file. No broker layer, no mystery subcontractors.

How Our Contract Manufacturing Model Works

NDA before drawings. We sign your NDA — or provide our mutual template — before any files change hands. Drawings are stored access-controlled, shared only with the engineers and machinists on your job, and never used for anything outside your orders.

A named project engineer. Every account gets a dedicated English-speaking project engineer who reads your drawings technically: GD&T, weld callouts, finish specs, assembly context. Questions get answered in writing, usually within one business day — the time-zone gap works in your favor when RFQs go out at your end of day.

Fixed quoting, no drift. Quotes are firm for the quoted quantity and revision. When your drawing revs, we re-quote the delta, not the whole part. Recurring orders run on agreed pricing schedules with lead times committed in writing.

Scalable volume. Prototype quantities to recurring production lots on the same programs and fixtures. Tooling and workholding stay with us, so reorder lead times shrink instead of resetting.

Quality Control Gates

Quality in contract machining is not one inspection — it is a chain of gates, each with a record:

  1. 1. Material verification — mill certificates checked against PO requirements before cutting; chemistry and heat numbers logged
  2. 2. First article inspection — full dimensional FAI on new part numbers, reported and approved before production runs the balance
  3. 3. In-process checks — operator and QC checks at agreed frequencies on critical features, recorded per lot
  4. 4. Final inspection — CMM verification against the drawing with GD&T reporting; AQL sampling or full inspection per your requirement
  5. 5. Pre-shipment review — finish, marking, cleanliness, and packing checked against the PO before the crate closes

Every gate produces documentation that ships with the parts. Details on methods and equipment are on our quality inspection page, and tolerance capability on the tolerances page.

Export Logistics, Handled

Parts that pass inspection still have to arrive. We run export packing and freight as part of the contract:

  • Export-grade packing — rust inhibitor, VCI bags, foam, and crating sized to the parts; ocean-worthy as standard
  • Freight your way — air for prototypes and urgent lots, sea for production volumes; DAP or DDP terms so parts arrive at your dock, not at a port you have to manage
  • Documentation — commercial invoice, packing list, and certificates of origin prepared correctly the first time, because customs delays are process failures
  • Consolidation — multiple part numbers consolidated into one shipment on a schedule that matches your inventory plan

What We Manufacture Under Contract

Custom machined parts across milling, turning, and 5-axis work — housings, brackets, shafts, manifolds, fittings, and assemblies with finishing (anodize, plating, heat treat) and hardware insertion managed through our local supply chain. If your program spans several part families, we quote the whole package. See about the factory for equipment and capacity.

When Outsourcing CNC Machining to China Makes Sense

Outsourcing CNC machining overseas pays when three conditions hold: your drawings are complete and toleranced, your volumes justify the freight, and your quality team can accept parts on documentation. If any of the three is shaky, say so at RFQ — we would rather help you scope a pilot lot than win a program that fails on expectations. The OEM CNC work that runs smoothest is the work that starts with one honest part.
